Laboratories mix ordinary spaces like offices, corridors and restrooms with highly sensitive work areas. EnviroKleen has supported academic and research environments for years, including the University of Utah, and we build lab programs that keep the building spotless without disturbing the science.

How we work in laboratories

  • Clear boundaries. We document exactly which areas, surfaces and equipment our crews clean, and which belong to lab staff.
  • Safety first. Crews are trained on your PPE requirements, hazard signage, restricted areas and waste handling before they start.
  • Controlled methods. Dedicated tools and approved cleaning agents for lab zones, never shared with general areas.
  • Quiet hours. Work scheduled around experiments, instrument runs and researchers’ hours.
  • Consistency. Long-tenured crews who learn your building and your people.

Lab types we support

  • University research labs
  • Corporate R&D facilities
  • Clinical and medical labs
  • Testing and analytical labs
  • Clean rooms and controlled environments
  • Vivarium and support spaces (per your SOPs)

For ISO-classified spaces, see our clean room cleaning program. For labs inside medical facilities, our medical cleaning protocols apply.

Frequently asked questions

What does laboratory cleaning include?

Floors, sinks, restrooms, offices, corridors, trash and approved waste streams, and general surfaces, following the lab's rules on which benches, equipment and materials are cleaned by lab staff only.

Do your cleaners touch lab equipment or samples?

Only when your procedures say so. We agree in writing which surfaces and equipment are cleaned by EnviroKleen and which remain the responsibility of lab personnel.

Do you clean clean rooms inside research facilities?

Yes. Our clean room cleaning follows ISO 14644 classifications, your gowning procedures and approved chemicals, with every session documented.
